GET TO KNOW WHITNEY, MISS KENTUCKIANA 2006
We Asked Whitney:
What motivates you and what are you passionate about? Goals that I set for myself and staying active physically and mentally and trying to be a good role model for my sister and cousins.
What energizes you? Waking up every morning and knowing that today leads to new steps in my life and seeing hard work pay off.

Fill us in on your future: I plan to obtain a bachelor's degree in Business Management or Biology and go to dental school to hopefully become a DDS and eventually open my own dental practice.
Whitney is a graduate of Western High School and a freshman at Indiana University. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, and has one younger sister. She volunteers as a book buddy for Sycamore School's Head Start Program. Others describe Whitney as confident, friendly, focused. Whitney is a three time recipient of the Academic Honors Award, and a two time recipient of the Sycamore School's Outstanding Volunteer Award and was named to the Mid-Indiana All Conference Tennis Award.

Whitney won the Contestant's Choice Award at the 2006 MISS KENTUCKIANA Pageant. At the 2006 AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Pageant she placed 6th overall and was voted Miss Photogenic 2006. |
PAGEANT INFO:
The
MISS KENTUCKIANA PAGEANT AND MODEL COMPETITION is an exciting
and a valuable experience for anyone wanting to start or continue
their pageant and or model competition. The experience
that the contestants gain is invaluable. For instance, many
of our winners have went on to win teen and miss state titles
in the USA system. PageantCrown is an in dependant system
and our competitions are not affiliated with the Miss Universe,
Miss USA, Miss America or any other pageant or model system. We independently sponsor and train our winners to compete
in other events and competitions. MISS
KENTUCKIANA receives a $500 cash award made payable
to her state USA pageant. Three of the past four MISS
KENTUCKIANA winners have competed at MISS USA after winning
their state USA pageant.
The
contestants in the MISS KENTUCKIANA Pageant, compete
in three phases of competition that include: Personal
Expression in Runway, Physical Fitness in Swimsuit, and Elegance
in Evening Gown. (Please note, there is no personal interview
and no performing talent competitions.)
Each
phase of competition is weighted equally. The contestant
with the overall highest score is crowned MISS KENTUCKIANA.
The event is non-contractual and the winners do not sign
contracts preventing them from participating in other events.
The winner is required to compete at the national pageant.* The top five finalists each receive a full paid entry to compete
in PageantCrown's AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Pageant
Competition.
**Any titleholder that can not compete at the national pageant (due to winning another pageant title or personal reasons) is required to forfeit the title, crown, banner and all prizes won.
AMERICA'S
NATIONAL MISS is produced by PageantCrown.com.
The national event is geared to propel the competition level
of experienced pageant contestants. Most of the participants
in the AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Contest are runners-up or semi-finalists
in their state USA contests.
