Congratulations to the
MRS. KENTUCKIANA 2006

Dr. Denise Yates
On winning Mrs. Kentucky America!
PageantCrown's Mrs. Kentuckiana Pageant is a non-contractual event and title and the winners do not sign contracts preventing them from entering other competitions.* MRS. KENTUCKIANA 2007 will have the opportunity to attend, host, and judge events associated with PageantCrown.com.
The Pageant is open to residents of both Indiana and Kentucky. The overall winner will be crowned Mrs. Kentuckiana. The Mrs. Kentuckiana Pageant is a prelim to Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant. If the overall winner is from Indiana, she will be crowned Mrs. Kentuckiana. She will not compete the Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant due to residency requirements by that state pageant. Therefore, if the contestant with the most points is from Indiana, then we will announce and crown the highest scoring contestant from Kentucky as Mrs. Bluegrass State. The MRs. Bluegrass State winner will then compete in the Mrs. Ketnucky America Pageant as Mrs. Bluegrass State. If the overall winner is from Kentucky, then she will be crowned Mrs. Kentuckiana and represent the Kentuckiana title in the Mrs. Kentucky America Pageant.

MEET MRS. KENTUCKIANA 2005-2006
Trina Jackson |
TRINA ON PAGEANTS:
A dancer yes . . .but Beauty Queen?
Trina's dance instructor suggested that she compete for the title of Miss Tampa, after all, Trina was in the Tampa, Florida area where she was a performer in a local show. At the time, talent in the Miss America Pageant was 50% of the total score. There were 25 contestants in the Miss Tampa pageant that year, and although confident about ½ of the competition, which was talent, Trina said she had no clue about the other phases of competition!
When the results were announced, a four-time entrant into the Miss Tampa Pageant won the crown and the first runner-up was a former top 10 semi-finalist and swimsuit winner in the Miss Alabama pageant. So, when Trina was announced as the second runner-up, the audience would have thought she won the title by the reaction of Trina and her family. They were thrilled at her performance and placement! By placing in the top five, she was encouraged to continue in this new thing, called, Pageantry!
The following year, she competed and won her first local title. Her director became a part of her daily life and Trina loved the preparations for the state competition. She said, "I thrived on learning about the Miss America system as well as preparing to compete again. My first state pageant was very disappointing because I did not make the top ten. However, after a couple of weeks of "grieving" I knew that pageants were not out of my system."
As we say in the pageant industry, it looks as if Trina had been bit, by The Pageant Bug.
NEXT MONTH, TRINA ON:
MISS AMERICA, MISS USA
(the pageant bug is getting bigger)
Trina Jackson won the event after winning all three phases of competition that included on-stage interview, swimsuit, and evening gown. She received the beautiful custom designed Signature PageantCrown Tiara and a $500 cash award. The first runner-up was Mary Ann Conte and the second runner-up was Amy Jo Wessling. The remaining two finalists were Amy Carter and Rise' Herndon.
The pageant is for those who are entering a Mrs. Pageant for the first time, or for a pageant veteran who still enjoys the pageant stage. Mrs. Kentuckiana will be offered the unique and exciting opportunity to participate as a VIP Guest and or Visiting Royalty to many PageantCrown related events. The new MRS. KENTUCKIANA will also be invited to judge or host local, state and national pageant competitions, produced by PageantCrown.com. It's a fun filled year for MRS. KENTUCKIANA. Come and experience and help raise funds for our Teen Scholarship Organization! |
