AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS IN THE MAKING:
The AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Competition was created for contestants who are runners-up, or those planning to compete, in the USA state pageants. The AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS is an incredible and unique experience. Participants in the program are given feedback, direction, and advise by our experienced panel of judges. This amazing opportunity is priceless!
"As I traveled the country to judge and host many state and national competitions, the end result would almost be the same. 'Lights, Camera, Action . . . One event, One Winner . . . and it's over, except for the winner, until next year's competition'. The new advances to a national competition while the other contestants, semi-finalists, finalists, and runners-up, were off... to prepare for next year's state pageant ? ? ? I saw the need for a new, exciting and valuable experience for many high-caliber contestants not selected as the state winner and who were not advancing, but had the potential to advance, to the national level. I envisioned a professionally produced event, empowering experienced participants to a new competition level while representing their state, gaining valuable national experience, exposure and personal development. I see the participating contestants utilizing this valuable and unique experience, to become a better competitor and return to their home state and WIN a major state pageant title!" J. Scot Reid, founder America's National Miss
MORE THAN JUST A PAGEANT
Opportunities to Compete Internationally

PageantCrown is one of the only pageant/modeling organizations in the country to own the license to several International competitions throughout the world. PageantCrown offers opportunities to our titleholders and contestants who compete in our programs the unique, exciting and the chance of a lifetime to repres ent the United States at an International Contest. The AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Pageant serves as the USA official preliminary to the MISS INTERCONTINENAL PAGEANT and the TOP MODEL OF THE WORLD contest. (The International Circuit is ever changing each year with competition places and dates; therefore, at times if the International Contest is held before/during or right after AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS, then we appoint the title at large or from another PageantCrown event).
MISS INTERCONTINENTAL: The highest qualifying contestant in the AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS Pageant is awarded the title United States MISS INTERCONTINENTAL and will represent the USA at the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL Pageant. In our 1006 event, Tiffany Schroer, of Indiana, was the highest scoring qualifying delegate and won a trip to compete in the 2006 finals in the Bahamas. Tiffany will be in the Bahamas from October -8, 2006 - October 16, 2006. We post photos as soon as we have them.
TOP MODEL OF THE WORLD - The contestant with the highest combined score from the Runway, Swimsuit and Photogenic Categories is awarded the title TOP MODEL of the USA. In 2005, Ashley Miller finished the competition as second runner-up; however, she won the runway contest, the most beautiful face award and adding her swimsuit placement, she had the highest combined score and received the title TOP MODEL of the USA 2005. She competed in China for three weeks beating out more 40 countries for the overall Miss Photogenic Award. Our 2006 TOP MODEL of the USA winner, AMANDA HOLZEN, also had the higest combined score from the swimsuit, runway and photogenic competitions. She will represent the USA in November 2006 in the TOP MODEL OF THE WORLD contest.

TITLES AWARDED:
AMERICA'S NATIONAL MISS – After four rounds of competition, the field of contestants is narrowed to the top five finalists. The judges will rank the top five from Winner to 4th Runner-Up during the final on-stage interview but based on their overall impression of the contestants.
UNITED STATES MISS INTERCONTINENTAL – The title is awarded to the contestant with the overall highest score after four rounds of preliminary competition. It could be possible the contestant with the highest preliminary score could also win the title AMERICA’S NATIONAL MISS. The purpose of sending a US representative to the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL Pageant is to gain valuable experience that will help the delegate to possibly win her state USA title. In fact, in 2005 Michelle Banzer was the winner of the title, she later win on to win the title MISS KENTUCKY USA.

The winner of the title will represent the USA in the TOP MODEL OF THE WORLD CONTEST. This is an incredible and exciting opportunity to represent the United States at an International competition. Participation requirements, as listed by the International Contest, must be met in order to qualify to compete (i.e. age, height, etc.). The purpose of sending a delegate to the TOP MODEL of the WORLD contest is to gain valuable experience that will help her to win a state USA title.
